John Clarke Memorial Fell Race – 21st June 2024 – 19:30

1

The only category A Fell Race inside the M25 motorway that circles London! Obviously we can’t just go up and down once to get the necessary amount of ascent per mile for a Category A fell race. Instead, for variety it takes several different ups and downs around the low point Yardley Valley. Finish is on Pole Hill with great views over the Lea Valley to central London landmarks. It’s very low key.

It’s very low key. Entry is via SPOND (group codes OYPHU for non-members and code FIKIN for members) at the price of £5. We strongly urge entry before the day to avoid on the day admin and queuing.  Entry ‘on the day’ is possible but will close at 7.00pm for the 7.30pm start. £5 entry fee. The start is a 10 minute easy jog from the clubhouse so it makes a good warm up. Post Race refreshments at the clubhouse It’s close to the longest day so even the slowest will finish in daylight! Everyone welcome.
